Brooke Shields looks as good as she did in The Blue Lagoon. But, it’s not without a lot of sweat, sleep and, now, SculpSure.

The 53-year-old actress tells People she looks her best when she’s, “working out all the time, getting enough sleep, drinking a lot of water and drinking less alcohol.” But it’s not as easy as it once was for her. “The older you get, the harder it is. There are some spots that no matter what I did, no matter how much weight I lost, they were still there. They caused me to be insecure. And for all of the hard work that I was doing, that was really frustrating to me. SculpSure addresses that,” she adds.

SculpSure is a non-surgical, light-based treatment that’s shown to reduce fat quickly in your doctor’s office—up to 24 percent of fat cells in 25-minute sessions—and is FDA-cleared to eliminate fat on the belly, love handles, back, thighs and under the chin. The model and actress has done two treatments on her love handles and stomach. She says there has already been a noticeable difference. “I never had anything come over the top of my jeans—I mean, thank God the jeans are higher now—but it worked,” she says. “I thought, ‘Okay, I can get behind this.’ It’s not a quick fix. It’s not a weight-loss program, so I’m game.”

As far as going under the knife, Shields says, “It all makes me hesitant, but I’m not against it. My mom had a face lift when she was in her early 40s, and by the time she was 70, she looked 50. It helped her. But I saw how hard the recovery is.” A spot she’d never touch? Her face. “If I changed my face, I think I would feel claustrophobic and horrible all the time. Even my face, older, is still my face.”
